School Lessons
School guitar lessons are provided on school premises during the school day. Lessons can be on an individual basis or in small groups. Lessons will be conducted by myself. I am a fully qualified guitar teacher and hold a Licentiate of the London College of Music Teaching Diploma (LLCMTD). I work in partnership with the Sheffield City Council Music Hub on a freelance basis and am fully accredited by them. As such, I hold a full DBS check and participate in continuing professional development and safeguarding training.

There are two types of lessons on offer:
Shared lessons (groups between 2 to 4 students)
Individual lessons (1 to 1)
Lessons are paid for per term. Each term will have 11 lessons or 33 lessons over the school year. If your child is away or misses one of these lessons, the lesson will try to be made up at a different time. However, it is not always possible to do this. Note, refunds for missed lessons will only be given if the teacher cannot make the lesson.
what You Will Need
Your child will need a guitar for use in lessons and for practise at home. Most primary aged children will either need a 3/4 size or 1/2 size guitar. There are many budget range guitars that will be fine for starting out on. These can be bought from any music shop. Local shops include Wave Length (on London Rd) The Music Box (Meadow Hall) or even Argos. Your child will need to bring their guitar to school on the day they have there lesson.
Lesson Fees & Prices
Shared Lesson £6.75 per 20 Mins
Individual Lesson £13.50 per 20 Mins
Lesson fees need to be paid before the term starts so registers and lesson plans can be put into place for your child's learning. Once you have completed the registration form below you will be sent a confirmation email. Lesson fees can be paid for direct from this site using Paypal or card (see below), or by bank transfer or cheque. At the beginning of each new term you will be sent an invoice to the email address you provided on the registration form.
Lesson Cancellations
At the end of each term you will be invoiced for the next terms lessons. If your child does not want to continue lessons on the following term please contact me before the end of the current term. Lessons can not be cancelled and refunded mid term.
BuRsaries For FinaNcial assiStance
There are three types of bursaries available to parents. If you would like to apply for one of these please contact me so I can send you the relevant form. Bursaries are provided by the Sheffield City Council Music Hub and applications need to be submitted to them.
Bursaries are available for, LAC: Looked After Child, SEN: Special Educational Needs and LIB: Low Income Bursary.
